The Waiting Room is an exploration into longing, hope and feeling in limbo. Reflecting aspects of Emily’s own story layered with the experiences of others.
The combination of figurative and landscape painting resists any strict form of classification. Her paintings feel multifaceted ‘a reflection of that waiting room’, a reflection of life.
Each work individual yet part of a connected whole.
